Are you familiar with these local plants? Chinese Banyan frequently seen on the roadside, Hong Kong Camellia witnessing the changes of the city and cotton representing Tsuen Wan as a textile hub in the past.

In this workshop, tutor Makie Chang will guide participants to screenprint one of the three plant patterns, which are beautifully made by local designer UUendy Lau, on a side shoulder bag and dye it in the shimmery hues of CHAT’s homemade indigo. The participants can choose different colour combinations when creating the wax resist effect before indigo dyeing and experiment with various dyeing techniques for mesmerising patterns.

Experience: Suitable for participants aged 7 or above

Materials: All materials will be provided

Language: Cantonese
