Lychee and Longan are seasonal fruits in Hong Kong’s summertime. Longan for the Workshop have come from the local Mrs Pun Fruit Farm. They harvest piles of Longan for once in every three years, when the current year is the harvest time in the cycle. It is hoped that every one of you can have a chance to taste those ‘ripe on trees’ organic Longan during this Workshop.
Besides, locally produced ‘sheung ching rice wine’ from Yuet Wo and ice sugar from Groundworks have been selected for you to produce an authentic Longan wine with all its ingredients coming from the local.
Ms Wah from Wan Chai Kai Fong Chateau is going to display the techniques of manufacturing wine and share her experiences on handcrafting wines with different seasonal fruits.
